Its time to start on beer number three, in tonights post on a lockdown beer. The only rules are, its a single pint, bottle or can and you have to be able to get hold of it easily during lockdown.
Tonight we have SM
Tonight I bring you , Small Giant, 440 ml and 4.5%. It’s brewed by yet another of the many fantastic Scottish microbrewers, Stewart Brewing and purchased from Lidl for £1.79 as part of either their British Beer Festival or their Scottish Beer Festival depending on if you live to the South or North of Berwick Upon Tweed.
As I already said, this is an American Pale Ale, it’s expressive and bold, bringing a fragrant aroma with citrus and pine, along with a big hoppy hit, delivered by a very generous dry hopping.
So, what is it like?
From the can, it pours a lovely lemony coloured beer with a good head on it. Taste wise, it’good bodied, with a crisp dry feel and for me, could be one to stay on for the night, but always remember to drink responsibly especially at home.
